A native of Two Rivers, WI, Mr. Greg Masarik is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay with a Bachelors Degree and teaching certification in Music. He earned his Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Marian College with licenses for Principal and Director of Instruction.
Born and raised Catholic, Greg's teaching and leadership philosophy is grounded in the spirituality of Mother Teresa and St. John Baptist de La Salle. Prior to coming to Notre Dame, Greg taught instrumental music in the Iron Mountain school district and then spent ten years at Roncalli High School in Manitowoc. During his tenure at Roncalli, Greg's marching and concert bands earned numerous state and national awards showcasing their commitment to quality and discipline. Greg's contributions to Roncalli include not only his musical directorship but also leadership of the Fine Arts Center team and the North Central Association Accreditation and Curriculum teams.
Married to Roncalli's former Campus Minister, Greg's wife Sara transitioned from active youth ministry to the vocation of motherhood when their son Michael was born in May of 2007. Greg, Sara, and their three children reside in Allouez and are members of St. Francis Xavier Cathedral.
