Head Varsity Football Coach

Notre Dame Academy (NDA), State Champions in1992, 2003 and 2015, is seeking to fill its head varsity football coaching position for the 2017 season.  The candidate will lead a successful program that is rich in tradition and will continue to build upon the commitment of excellence to develop young men as leaders, both on and off the field, in a faith-based community. 

The Notre Dame Tritons compete in the Fox River Classic Conference (FRCC), one of the states premier conferences in the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA). 

The ideal candidate will exhibit characteristics that support the mission of NDA and will hold high standards of Christian faith, morality and integrity, discipline, commitment to service, hard work, and a strong desire for success.  The candidate should have proficient football knowledge and will be responsible for all levels of the program, including assembling a strong staff.  In addition, strong communication and interpersonal skills are required along with the ability to engage the NDA community and generate youth interest. 

A minimum of 5 years football coaching experience at the varsity level is required; head coaching experience with proven record of success is preferred.

Head Varsity Boys/Girls Track Coach

Notre Dame Academy is a college preparatory high school in the Catholic tradition. Founded by the Norbertine Order and the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, our high-caliber educational community is focused on outstanding learning and creating a lifetime of opportunity for all students.

Notre Dame Academy is seeking a qualified individual to be the Head Varsity Boys/Girls Track coach.  NDA is part of the Fox River Classic Conference (FRCC) and a Division 1 school in the WIAA.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and enforce Notre Dame Academy’s high academic standards, policies and practices.

  • Ensure compliance with all WIAA and FRCC rules and regulations

  • Practice and promote positive interaction among student-athletes, faculty, staff, parents, alumni and NDA community

  • Demonstrate knowledge of and ability to implement effective coaching theory, strategies, and techniques appropriate for high school athletes

  • Positively motivate student-athletes to instill commitment, discipline, and teamwork and lead by example.  Enforce athletic code of conduct and any disciplinary actions.

  • Demonstrate good sportsmanship and passion of the sport in both victory and defeat

  • Supervise athletes at practices, competition events and at all times they are representing NDA athletics

  • Fiscal management of annual budget and team purchases

  • Effectively communicate with Athletic Director to keep apprised of program updates

  • Lead coaching staff to follow the same guidelines and team philosophies

  • Work cooperatively and communicate effectively with NDA Administration

  • Work collaboratively with fellow coaches, staff and teachers

  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience in coaching required

  • Experience in high school or college/professional coaching preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written skills

  • Knowledge of technical aspects of sport in both practice drills and competition preparation.

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to contribute in a collaborative team environment

 
 

Additional:

  • Certified Teaching License and/or NFHS/ASEP/CNLT Certification preferred, but not required.

  • First Aid and CPR Certification required.
