BAND-AID PARENT ORGANIZATION


Band-Aid is NDA's band parent organization. One of the strongest parent groups at NDA, our organization is fundamental to continued success and enhancement of band at NDA. Band Aid provides critical support to our band director, Mr. Bill Hill.

The following is a sample of activities that Band Aid provides to the NDA Band program:

• Parent Leadership and Organization
• Disbursement and Accounting of Monies
• Fundraising via game concessions, product sales
• Communications to Parents, Students, the Community
• Band Program Development and Enhancement
• Trip and Camp Development and Coordination
• Marching Uniform and Concert Wear Organization
• Reception Coordination
• Photography
• Instrument and Equipment Acquisition

All parents of band students are welcome to partake in Band Aid activities.  Most of the volunteer opportunities allow parents to accumulate cash credits toward their student's Band Trip. For parents new to NDA, participating in Band Aid activities is an excellent way to become quickly integrated into NDA parent life.

Band Aid Meetings

Band Aid meets regularly once a month to strategize, plan and discuss issues and concerns. Our NDA Band Director, Mr. Bill Hill, participates regularly and is almost always in attendance. All parents are welcome to attend.

NDA Band Aid Organization for  2011-2012
There are many way to participate in Band Aid. Each position is uniquely important to success of our organization and draws from a diverse group of talents. From the accounting professional, to the expert shopper, to the party planner, carpenter, bus driver or seamstress, Band Aid can use your energy and skills.

Many parents start working concessions and assisting at events and expand their role as they find their unique niche. There is a place for every parent in NDA Band Aid.
