Summer Reading
The English department no longer requires summer reading for NDA students. However, in an effort to keep reading skills sharp, as well as enrich students’ summer, teachers strongly encourage summer reading.
What to read? Read what you want, but if you want suggestions, see the link of suggested readings on the NDA website. This list is a compilation by English teachers and the librarians.
“We want students to enjoy their summers, and we want reading to be a significant part of that enjoyment,” explained English teacher Carolyn Brown. “I’ve already had quite a few students and parents email me about summer reading, and if students or parents have a question, they should contact me at Carolyn342@aol.com.”
