FUTURE PROJECTS

FITNESS AND ATHLETIC FACILITIES

Over the past ten years, Notre Dame Academy has expanded and upgraded its academic and athletic facilities by investing over $15.5 million.  The addition of science laboratory classrooms, a new library, Commons, gymnasium and technology have been complimented by renovation of the Priory and Chapel.  Recent upgrades of the tennis courts, baseball and practice fields were complemented by a major investment in Ted Fritsch Field.

In spring, 2009, the administration and Buildings & Grounds Committee initiated a study of the old gymnasium.  This remains the lone part of the original facility which has not been renovated.  In addition to upgrading the old gym, plans could include the addition of a fitness center, team changing rooms and a new entrance to both gyms off of the main parking lot.

These plans are being studied.  No decision or timetable has been set for this $3-4 million project.
