Inaugural Class of Hall of Fame Inductees Honored on August 18

Notre Dame Academy (NDA) launched its Triton Academic & Athletic Hall of Fame with an inaugural dinner and program on Saturday, August 18, 2018. NDA recognized 18 individuals and two teams at the event, which was held at Michels Commons at St. Norbert College. View the list of inductees, along with their photos and biographies here. Photos from the event can be found here.

"The Triton Academic & Athletic Hall of Fame is an exciting venture for us at Notre Dame Academy as it allows us to begin to recognize the outstanding accomplishments achieved by our alumni, staff, and friends," said Kevin J. Shaw, president of NDA. "Its purpose is to perpetuate the memory of those persons who have brought distinction, honor, and excellence to NDA and our legacy schools, and to familiarize the entire school community and alumni with our schools' rich history."

There are three divisions within the Triton Academic & Athletic Hall of Fame: academic, athletic, and legends.
  • The academic division highlights an individual in seven categories: art, business, education, humanitarianism, military service, ministry, and science.
  • The athletic division features alumni who have demonstrated athletic ability, sportsmanship, character, and contribution to the team(s)/game(s) he/she participated in.
  • The legends division includes administrators, staff, and friends/supporters of NDA.

Each inductee must have demonstrated achievement in his/her field or sport and graduated 10 or more years ago from NDA or a legacy school (Central Catholic, St. Norbert, St. Joseph Academy, Our Lady of Premontre, or Abbot Pennings high schools).

The Triton Academic & Athletic Hall of Fame will live at NDA on a touchscreen system, which was generously donated by the 1978 Premontre state title football team. This touchscreen system will be placed in the NDA Commons this fall.

Nominations can be made and the complete archive of honorees, including photos and biographies, can also be found on the NDA website.
