Triton of the Week - Jack Flis

Jack Flis, NDA senior, has been chosen as Triton of the Week for the week of March 26, 2018.

Jack comes highly recommended by many faculty and staff at NDA, and is described as an excellent leader. "Jack inspires others with his great ability to channel positive energy into all his school work, co-curricular endeavors, and service projects. He is creative, faith-filled, empathetic, thorough, and a team-builder," remarked one staff member.

Furthermore, Jack has tremendous musical talent. He is a drum major in the NDA Pep Band and performs the trumpet in the Jazz Band. He has received numerous awards for his musical expertise, including the Jazz Musician Award at the UW-Stevens Point Music Festival and various first place rankings at state in Solo & Ensemble competitions. He and fellow trumpet player Charlie Kippley played "Taps" to perfection at a local Veterans Day ceremony last fall.

Jack is a high honor roll student and has been a committed retreat leader and Eucharistic Minister all four years at NDA.

Finally, Jack has remarkable entrepreneurial ambitions, as he operate Jack's Pressure Washing and Jack's Car Wash in his free time. His volunteer service includes giving time and talent to Resurrection Parish, Resurrection School, and the Freedom House.

Jack plans to attend St. Norbert College in the fall. Congratulations, Jack Flis, as the recipient of the Triton of the Week award!
