Triton of the Week – Olivia Zehms
Triton of the Week – Olivia Zehms

Olivia Zehms, NDA senior, has been chosen as Triton of the Week for April 1, 2018.

With the goal of becoming a neonatal nurse, Zehms will attend NWTC in the fall. Zehms developed this passion working as a babysitter for multiple families in the area. "I am also the middle child of eight," she said. "My youngest brother is eight years old, so, needless to say, I love kids."

Zehms has achieved the honor roll all four years of her high school career, has volunteered at From Above Bakery, CCD Credo Classes, and Totus Tuus Summer Camp. She has done this all while altar serving for Mass and singing in the church choir.

Explained by one teacher as "energetic, kind, and intelligent," Zehms spends her free periods assisting the main office with running passes to students, watering plants, and completing other miscellaneous, important duties.

"She is always willing to help when we need her. She is extremely kind and always giving of her time," said Joey Rickards, NDA attendance secretary. "If Olivia sees me running through the halls with passes, she never fails to ask if I need her to run for me. She is truly a missionary disciple, and exemplifies the Core Values of NDA."

Olivia currently works at Kohl's and balances her time between academics, babysitting, working, and volunteering. NDA wishes Zehms the best of luck as she journeys towards her goal of becoming a neonatal nurse.

Congratulations, Olivia Zehms, Triton of the Week.
