About IB
As a non-profit educational foundation, IB’s mission is to create a better world through education by offering international education. The program focuses on intellectual, personal, emotional, and social skills needed to live, learn, and work in a rapidly globalizing world. Learn more about IB.
IB is an optional two-year program of rigorous learning during a student’s junior and senior years. Students can choose to be IB Diploma Candidates or they can choose course in more of an a la cart fashion. Many universities offer college credit for IB courses taken in high school.

IB Career-related Program
Notre Dame de la Baie Academy is a candidate school* for the IB Career-related Program. NDA is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. IB World Schools share a common philosophy – a commitment to high-quality, challenging, international education – that we believe is important for our students.
* Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programs: the Primary Years Program (PYP), the Middle Years Program (MYP), the Diploma Program (DP), or the Career-related Program (CP). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted.

IB Exam Information
All IB exams will take place in May 2024 and be conducted in the alumni gym at Notre Dame Academy. Please click here to view the exam schedule.
All IB exam fees must be paid in full by Nov. 1, 2023. If you cannot make the full payment by that time, you must contact Mr. Matt Schultz, NDA's IB coordinator, as soon as possible to work out a solution. Students will not be registered for exams until payment is received. If no payments have been made by Nov. 1, the fees go up substantially. There is no refund once students have signed up and paid for exams.
For ALL Course (junior or senior only taking some IB) Anticipated (junior Full IB) and Diploma (senior Full IB) Candidates, the fees are all the same. Please use the following chart.

Exam fees are figured by adding the IB Subject Exam Fee ($119 per subject). Late registration (between Nov. 1, 2023 and Jan. 15, 2024) has a $157 per subject fee. Late registration after Jan. 15 has a $269 per subject fee. No late registration can take place after April 15, 2024.
For any Diploma Candidate that may be taking more than six subject exams for their diploma, each additional test will be an additional $119 to the total listed above, if paid prior to Nov. 1.
There is no testing fee for TOK or Extended Essay for full diploma candidates.
