Profile Details

My name is Brenda Rentmeester, or Madame, as my students call me. I have been teaching French for eight years and Russian for four years.  This is my fifth year teaching at NDA. I graduated from UW - Madison, where I earned my BA.  After years in the traditional workforce, I realized that I wanted something more out of life, so I made a career change and obtained my teaching certification at UWGB. I am thrilled to be in a profession where I can help students become their best selves.  While I want them to learn the language, the exploration of French and Russian also opens up windows to the world to experience what life is like for others.  I believe that learning a language strongly contributes to each student becoming well-rounded and open-minded.  It is a pleasure to have a part in that.
