Advanced Placement (AP) Exam Information

Advanced Placement (AP) Exams are being offered at NDA May 7-11 and May 14-18. These exams are optional, and the fee is $94 each.

With qualifying AP Exam scores, you may earn college credit, advanced placement, or both at participating U.S. Colleges. Individual colleges create rules on how much credit and placement students receive for specific test scores, so check the AP Exam website and/or your attending college website to understand how each college applies AP Exam scores.

Below are important dates & considerations to note if you are considering taking an AP Exam:
  • February 23, 2018: Deadline to request special accommodations. For details, visit this website or talk to Mr. McGowan.
  • March 8, 2018: Students interested in taking AP Exams must sign up and pay in advance. Cash or check is accepted. Please deliver the $94 fee to Mrs. Heyroth in Student Services by 3:30 p.m. on March 8. Checks can be made payable to Notre Dame Academy.
For further information, AP Exam preparations, rules & regulations, and/or general questions, please see the AP Exam website.

*Note: The IB exam schedule directly conflicts with the AP Exam schedule. If you choose to take both exams, you MUST check the IB schedule for conflicts. AP Exams are national standardized tests; therefore testing dates cannot be modified. IB Exams can also give you advanced placement/college credit. Check with your colleges to learn how they handle IB exam scores.
