State Boys Hockey Tournament Information


Quarterfinal Game - Thursday, March 1, 2018
12:15 p.m. (approx.) vs. Verona High School
Alliant Energy Center, Madison, WI
Tickets - $8 (available in the NDA atrium until Thursday, March 1st at 8:00 AM)


Thursday, March 1 is a regular school day.
Students who would like to attend the game must choose one of two options/procedures for it to be considered an excused absence.

Option A – Student Provides Their Own Transportation
1. Student must pick up a lime green "Anticipated Absence Form" - this is used as a communication tool between the student & teacher for missed work, etc.
2. Students' parents must call the Attendance Desk at 429-6104 to inform the school their student will be missing school and indicate what time the student should be excused from school.
3. Student must see all of their teachers and have them sign the lime green form for the periods they will be missing. If the student will be attending some of the classes the Parent/Guardian should indicate the time the student should be excused from school on the anticipated absence form.
4. Parent/Guardian must sign the lime green form.
5. Fully completed lime green form is due to the Main Office by 3:15 PM on Wednesday, February 28th.
6. Student must check in with Mr. Browne at the Alliant Energy Center between periods 1 & 2 of the hockey game.


Option B – Student Takes the School Provided Fan Bus (Lamer's Motorcoach)
Cost: $35 (ticket & bus)

Bus loads at 9 a.m.
Bus will return at approximately 5 p.m.
Students who ride the bus to Madison, must return on the bus
The bus will not stop for meals

1. Student must pick up a white "School Permission Slip" & blue "Anticipated Absence Form" from the atrium desk.
2. Student must turn in completed white permission slip (all highlighted areas filled in) & $35 to the atrium desk by 8:00 AM on Wednesday, February 28.
3. Student must see all their teachers and have them sign the blue form.
4. Parent/Guardian must sign the blue form.
5. Fully completed blue form is due to the Main Office by 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday, February 28.



If NDA wins the game on Thursday:
Semifinal Game - Friday, March 2, 2018
4 p.m. vs. Hudson or St. Mary's Springs Co-op
Students who would like to attend the game must choose one of two options/procedures for it to be considered an excused absence.

1. Student must purchase a ticket ($8) in Madison at the Alliant Energy Center.
2. Students' parents must call the Attendance Desk at (920) 429-6104 to inform the school that their student will be missing school and indicate what time the student should be excused from school.


Option B – Student Takes the School Provided Fan Bus (Lamer's Motorcoach)
Cost: $25 (bus only)
Bus loads at 12:55 p.m.
Bus will return at approximately 8:45 p.m.
The bus will not stop for meals

1. Student must pick up a white "School Permission Slip" and be sure that the Friday date is circled on the permission slip.
2. Student must turn in completed white permission slip (all highlighted areas filled in) & $25 to the atrium desk by 8:00 AM on Wednesday, February 28.
Note - If student is paying for both Thursday & Friday, the student should provide 2 separate checks. In the event that NDA loses on Thursday, all checks received for Friday will be returned to the student.
3. Student must purchase a ticket ($8) in Madison at the Alliant Energy Center.


If NDA wins the game on Friday:
State Championship Game - Saturday, March 8, 2018
2:15 p.m. (approx.) vs. TBD
Alliant Energy Center, Madison, WI
Tickets - $8 – must be purchased at the Alliant Energy Center
Students must provide their own transportation to Madison.
