Catholic Schools Week Activities 2019
Catholic Schools Week Activities 2019

Catholic Schools Week will be celebrated Sunday, January 27-Saturday, February 2. As Green Bay's Catholic high school, Notre Dame Academy will host events week to celebrate this special week.

Throughout the week, we will be raising money for the Freedom House by selling $2 bracelets and taking donations. These funds will be used to support their work with families in the Green Bay area that have fallen on hard times. All funds will go to the Freedom House whose website states, "At our locations on the east and west side of Green Bay, Freedom House offers the education, practical support, and renewed hope that can propel a family from homelessness to self-sufficiency."

Monday (Morning Mass) – We will have adoration in the chapel to begin the week with prayer from 8 am.-12:45 p.m. The Chaplet of Divine Mercy will take place after school. Steve Baskis will speak to students at 9:30 a.m. Baskis is a blind veteran, adventurer, and inspirational speaker.

Tuesday (Morning Mass) – NDA will host a Blood Drive. As Jesus gave all His blood for us, we will be hosting a blood drive to pay it forward.

Wednesday – Bishop David Ricken will lead us in an all-school Mass where we will recognize all students who were confirmed or will be confirmed during the academic school year of 2018-2019. We will host rosary after school, as well.

Thursday (Morning Mass) – Last day selling bracelets at lunch.

Friday (Morning Mass) – There will be a jeans day for those who bought bracelets celebrating the blessing of being part of a Catholic School.

Saturday – We will volunteer our time at St. John's Homeless Shelter from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. to emphasize helping those in need and to without shelter.

Sunday – Pre-selected families and senior students will provide a meal for those at St. John's Homeless Shelter.
