Qiuhong Zhang Named Chinese Language Teacher of Year

On Saturday, March 2, under the direction of Mrs. Qiuhong Zhang, 18 NDA students attended the 2019 Wisconsin Chinese Speech Contest held at UW-Milwaukee.
At the event, Mrs. Zhang was honored as the Wisconsin Chinese Language Teacher of the Year. We are blessed that Mrs. Zhang has brought Mandarin to the NDA community as the classes continue to grow and the Chinese Club remains the largest club at NDA.
Further, at the event, students competed in different categories and performed at the opening and closing ceremonies. The following students placed within the competition portion of the event.
First: Kate Van Den Heuvel, Belle Mae Williams, Jennifer Ai, and Maxwell McLean
Second: Alan Schneider and Emily Lin
Third: JunHyeok Cha, Olivia Lin, Adam Vogel, and Sarah Petroll
