Seela Raj Named Triton of the Week

Seela Raj, NDA 2019, is Triton of the Week for the week of November 5, 2018.

Academically ranking number three in the Class of 2019, Raj has found much success in the classroom, on the tennis court, and volunteering for numerous organizations in the community.

"Seela is highly motivated in academics, involved in tennis and other extracurricular activities, and manages to excel in so many areas while maintaining composure and a positive attitude and sense of humor," said Doug Guyette, Raj's nominating teacher.

Raj is an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma candidate and went to D1 state for tennis with her doubles partner Micah Dennis during her senior year.

She is also part of the National Society of High School Scholars, which recognizes top scholars who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, scholarship, and community commitment. To be in this organization, one must achieve above a 3.5 GPA and 26 on the ACT.

Most notably, Raj continuously gives back to the community. She is actively involved in the following organizations:

  • Green Bay YMCA After School Enrichment Program
  • Green Bay YMCA After School Program at Chappell Elementary as a tutor
  • Miracle League of Green Bay
  • Literacy Green Bay
  • St. Vincent Hospital
