Senior Caragan Olles was recently named the 2019 Hometown Hero for the Second Assembly District.
It’s the latest recognition for Olles, who has raised almost $200,000 through her non-profit, Bright Young Dyslexics, which focuses on helping students with dyslexia.
Earlier this year, Olles was named one of 10 national winners for the Prudential Spirit of Community Award.
“I enjoyed meeting Caragan and her family when they came down to Madison for the ceremony in front of the full Assembly,” said Rep. Shae Sortwell, who nominated Olles. “She's a great role model for young people, our District, and all of Wisconsin. I have no doubt she will do great things.”
