Dear Parents/Guardians,
With winter comes the possibility of school closures and delays due to inclement weather. Please take a moment to read the following information so you are aware of how NDA will communicate in the event of inclement weather.
- The physical school building will be closed during inclement weather.
- However, classes will continue virtually during inclement weather.
- There will be no extracurricular activities (practices, rehearsals, contests, performances, meetings) when the school is closed during inclement weather.
The schedule will continue to follow the published calendar after it is deemed to return to school safely. For example, if the snow day occurs on Green Cohort Periods 5-8, those classes will be virtual and if we return to school the next day, the schedule will be Blue Cohort Periods 1-4. When possible, the NDA school community will be notified by 8 p.m. the night before potential inclement weather the next day will be virtual.
Communication regarding any changes due to inclement weather will be made through major television stations, the NDA website, email and text alert system.
