FBLA advances to state in five events

Notre Dame Academy's Future Business Leaders of America chapter qualified for state in five events at the Seymour Regional FBLA Leadership Conference on Feb. 1.

Thirteen members of the NDA chapter competed at regionals, which featured 28 school districts. The top three places advance to state.

Julia Linzmeier (Impromptu Speaking) and Sam Peterman (Cyber Security) both placed first in their respective events.

Scott Russell placed second for Public Speaking to qualify for state, while the Publication Design team and Digital Video Production team placed third to advance to state March 30-31 in Madison.

The FBLA program at NDA was founded last school year with seven members and has grown to 28 members for the 2019-20 school year.

In addition to competing in academic events related to Business and Information Technology, the FBLA chapter helps students bridge the gap between school and real-world experiences in addition to networking opportunities with business professionals.
