Mattea Vecera, NDA 2020, is Triton of the Week for the week of Sept. 16, 2019.
"Mattea is a senior who epitomizes all of our core values here at Notre Dame Academy," Learning Resource Specialist Cassidy McGowan said. "These values include a strong faith, respect for herself and others, including the school community, taking responsibility for her actions and grades, which is reflected in her High Honor Roll standing and her trustworthiness."
Vecera is a National Honor Society member and a full International Baccalaureate diploma student.
She is part of the school play and musical, jazz choir, and is a mentor through Triton Troupe.
A natural leader, Vecera has served as co-president of the Philosophical Society and Drama Club in addition to being part of the Student Government Executive Board.
She earned the Kiwanis Club of Green Bay Youth Drama Award last year.
Among her many talents, Vecera enjoys playing the piano.
"I am uplifted every time I see Mattea in the school for she is always smiling and positive," McGowan said. "In addition, Mattea is connected to the school and truly wants the best for Notre Dame, including all of the people connected to the institution; including faculty, students and additional stakeholders."
Mattea Vecera competes in a game during the Fall Pep Assembly on Sept. 13.
