May 27, 2021 - News & Notes Email to Parents
As we finish the year I wanted to take the opportunity to extend my appreciation and gratitude to the parents, students, staff and teachers. The perseverance and “can do” attitude displayed by so many is nothing short of impressive.
Although not every day has gone perfectly, nor has every decision been universally agreed upon, at the end of the day we have much to be proud of!
My hope is our students have an opportunity to rest over the summer, our families have an opportunity to be together, and our teachers and staff have a deep sense of peace knowing that what they accomplished allowed students to move forward despite so many hurdles!
Enjoy the summer and know we look forward to seeing you in the Fall.
A Letter from NDA President Tom Kiely
Dear Families of Notre Dame Academy,
As we conclude this 2020-21 academic year I would like to take a moment to reflect upon our shared journey since last August.
The Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament that stands on the NDA campus is a poignant reminder of the great act of thanksgiving that lies at the center of our faith. In thanksgiving we gather as a community in Christ, and in thanksgiving we go forth into the summer months to vacate, rejuvenate and recreate.
Thank you for your partnership this year as classrooms, courts, fields and stages had to be refashioned to accommodate the pandemic challenges. We have pursued a path trying to keep everyone safe if at times frustrated. We apologize for the frustrations, and we are hopeful for the future!
On behalf of our faculty, staff and coaches who have risen to challenge after challenge throughout this year I am reminded of the words of the Second Vatican Council reflection on Catholic schools:
“The work of teachers is…most suited to and necessary for our times and at once a true service offered to society.”
Such words have never been so true, and so I offer thanks for the efforts of so many.
Finally, I thank our students for their resilience, their continual creativity, and their honest questions and vigorous activity in so many directions. The spirit of the students is the lifeblood of our community efforts.
As the summer develops its own rhythms from home to home, may you have continued health, and our best wishes as you enjoy the summer.
Blessings in Christ,

A letter from The Konop Companies about lunch accounts
Dear NDA Families
With the end of the year fast approaching, The Konop Companies, Notre Dame Academy's food service provider, would like to take this time to pass along some important information.
If your child will be returning to Notre Dame and has money on the lunch account, the money will transfer automatically. No action is required.
If your child is graduating or will not be returning, The Konop Companies does not issue any refunds for unused balance on the lunch account. This is also stated on Notre Dame’s website under the lunch tab.
We can, however, transfer money per parent/guardian request to a sibling. All you have to do is contact Tracy Troge at (920) 429-6137 or email@example.com and request a transfer.
Please be sure to include the names of the affected accounts. Transfers do not happen automatically, so please be sure to contact Tracy.
If you have automatic payments set up on myschoolbucks.com and your child will not be returning, please be sure to stop those payments as they do not stop automatically.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Tracy. Thank You for your business and have a great summer.

From Athletic Director Matt Koenig: Boys Soccer finishes as State Runner-Up
The Notre Dame Academy boys soccer team made a historic run during adverse times.
Coach Michael Prudisch and the Tritons began the year playing soccer in the fall. They went 5-0-2 and things were going well. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 their season was cut short and they had to move to the alternate fall season in the spring. The WIAA allowed teams who did not play a certain number of games to move to the spring.
With a 15-game schedule put together and 30 days to get those games in, the Tritons put together a great regular season by going 10-3-2 heading into the postseason.
They defeated Ashwaubenon to win a regional championship and had to play two games on the same day at sectionals.
NDA defeated Sturgeon Bay in the sectional semifinal and went on to beat Winnebago Lutheran 3-1 to win the sectional title and advanced to the WIAA state tournament for the ninth time in program history.
The Tritons were the No. 3 seed heading into the state tournament with a matchup against Shorewood. After going scoreless in regulation, NDA got a goal by Emmett Lawton which was set up by an assist from Adam Brada to send the Tritons to the Division 2 state championship game.
With 90 minutes to rest and eat, the team had to then play McFarland. The Tritons gave it their all but fell 6-1. The team was led this year by seniors Isaac Delveaux, Abe Gomez (honorable mention all-FRCC), Josh Goral, Sam Limoni (second teamall-FRCC), Christian Martinez (honorable mention all-FRCC), Josh Macias, Eddie Noble, Leo Rodriguez, and by our underclassmen all-conference team members, Adam Brada (honorable mention all-FRCC), Connor Handrick (second team all-FRCC), Emmett Lawton(first team all-FRCC), John Sack (second team all-FRCC) and Garrett Watzka (honorable mention all-FRCC).
Congratulations to the coaching staff and all the players in the program for working through a difficult year and earning the Division 2 state runner-up silver ball. A big thank you goes to the seniors for sticking together to make this a great year for all!
