The state of Wisconsin has expanded vaccine access and this past Tuesday all employees completed their second shot, thus becoming fully vaccinated. Next Tuesday, April 13, we will begin to move the school to the CDC recommended 3-foot distance in the classroom by having 30 of our teachers increase their classroom capacity. The following Tuesday, April 20, all additional teachers will move to a 3-foot distance. In almost all classrooms this will mean all students will be in the classroom for the full 80-minute class period. Students who have teachers who are sick will still be learning via their computers while their teacher is not in the building.
As we increase our capacity for the second half of the fourth quarter, any positive COVID-19 cases will necessarily result in quarantining students who are within six feet of a COVID-19 positive student. This could lead to an increase in the number of students being quarantined, but it is important we continue to move forward to a more normal classroom environment in preparation for final exams.
The Final Exam schedule will be published next week. All students will be taking their final exams in school.

Vaccine update: Everyone age 16 and older was made be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine on April 5 in Wisconsin. Our state currently leads the nation in being one of the most efficient vaccinators for getting available shots in arms. If you have questions or need help scheduling, please let the school nurse know. Please report your student’s vaccine dates to firstname.lastname@example.org.
DHS Urges Wisconsinites to Continue to Mask Up: On Wednesday, the Wisconsin State Supreme Court overturned the current public health emergency, which also ended the mask order. DHS is asking all Wisconsinites to do everything in their power to support the adoption or continuation of mask orders in your jurisdiction. NDA will continue its masking policy as it is until further notice.
