NDA Class of 2016

In my time at Notre Dame Academy, it truly felt like my home away from home. I formed many great friendships with my peers and teachers, many of whom I still stay in contact with today and make an effort to stop by and catch up with many of the faculty. While at NDA, I was a member of the freshmen and JV girls volleyball teams and was the manager of the boys volleyball program for my junior and senior year. In addition, I was a member of the figure skating team. My education that I received at NDA across my four years with taking several honors and IB courses prepared me extremely well for the transition to college, so much so that many of my freshman year college courses like chemistry, biology and calculus 1 and 2 were largely review. I can truly say that I miss attending NDA because of all the positive experiences, ability to grow in my faith, and faculty and staff that truly want to see their students succeed and will go out of their way to lend a hand.

After graduating from NDA in 2016, I attended the University of Notre Dame and will be graduating Summa Cum Laude in May with a BS in Science Pre-Professional Studies and a minor in Compassionate Care in Medicine. After four years of hard work, this past February I was accepted into my first-choice medical school. I am incredibly blessed to say that I will be attending the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine in Scottsdale, Arizona, with a full ride academic scholarship! Without the strong academic and personal preparation I received from both NDA and the University of Notre Dame, being accepted to a Top 10-ranked medical school would not have been something I could have achieved.
