Student Health Safety Measures
Health and well-being is an important component of a student’s school experience. At various times, communicable disease, viruses or illness may impact the operation of the school. The school will use various measures to determine whether or not this has or may have an impact on the school experience. These measures may include, but are not limited to:
-
Attendance data
-
Anecdotal reports from parents (i.e. self reporting an illness)
-
Organization of a task force of community members and medical professionals
-
Information received from government agencies (Brown County Health Department, Wisconsin Department of Health Services, CDC, etc.)
After the determination that there is an impact on the school, the following mitigation strategies may be implemented (strategies not in any specific order):
-
Face Masks
-
Social Distancing
-
Event Cancellation
-
Limited Public Access to Building
-
Enhanced cleaning protocols and procedures
-
Providing additional personal protective equipment to employees and students
-
Blended Learning (Combination of In Person & Virtual)
-
Virtual Learning
-
School Closures
-
Other mitigation strategies deemed appropriate to the circumstances.
Mitigation strategies will be used as long as deemed necessary based on guidelines established through consultation with appropriate health officials and locally developed task forces.
